CONGRATULATIONS to senior Sal Salehi for winning First Place in the Senior Individual Web Sites category at the Maryland History Day competition held at The University of Maryland Baktimore County (UMBC) this weekend. Sal's winning entry is titled "Haitian Revolution of 1791: An Inexorable Force for the Emancipation of Slaves in the New World."Sal now advances to the National History Day competition to be held at The University of Maryland College Park (UMCP) in June. Sal's accomplishment has brought distinction to our school, for Centennial is the only high school in Howard County to send a winner to the national competition.
