Collision Avoidance Training for teens, young adults
COLLISION AVOIDANCE TRAINING (CAT) is an advanced, defensive driving and vehicle control program provided by the Howard County Police Department (HCPD) for licensed drivers age 16-20 years. The two-day program (12 hours total) is designed to provide young drivers with potentially life-saving knowledge and understanding of vehicle dynamics. Includes classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel practical exercises on a driving course with a CAT instructor (a Howard County police officer) so that students experience how their vehicle responds in a given situation, and how to regain control of their vehicle once it is out of control.
The HCPD offers a CAT classes one weekend per month, with classes available through December 2012; next class is FRIDAY & SATURDAY, MARCH 23 & 24. CLICK HERE for details.
