Nu Delta Alpha Concert & CHS Dance Alumni Gala

WEDNESDAY, MAY 16, 7 PM -- Auditorium. Celebrating a decade of Dance at Centennial High School. Featuring performances by members of the Centennial High School Chapter of the Nu Delta Alpha (NDA) Dance Honor Society. Admission is FREE, but donations will be gratefully accepted.

Tenth Annual CHS Spring Dance Concert

THURSDAY, MAY 3 & FRIDAY, MAY 4, 7 PM each night -- Auditorium. Featuring performances of  Ballet, Modern Dance, Jazz Dance and Tap Dance by all dancers in the CHS Dance Program. TICKETS: $8.

Wednesday: CHS Dance: Free Disney World preview performance

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18, 7 - 7:30 PM -- Auditorium. Come have a "sneak peek" at the show that the Junior and Senior Dance Companies will perform on the Waterside Stage in downtown Disney World in Orlando April 24-29.

Today: CHS Dance Placement auditions

WEDNESDAY,  MARCH 28, 3:30 PM -- CHS Dance Studio. A Placement Audition is required for any student (grade 8 - 11) who is interested in placing in an upper-level dance class that is not their next step in the curriculum sequence. The PTSA AFTER-PROM PARTY FUNDRAISER at EGGSPECTATION Restaurant is NEXT WEDNESDAY, too! Make a night of it and have a bite to eat at EGGSPECTATION (4 - 10 PM) before or after the free Dance Concert!

HCPSS Community Notices 01.25.11: Columbia Association's "Battle of the Dance"

The following announcement has been approved by the HCPSS Public Information Office for school notices and distribution. Please contact the Public Information Office at 410/313-6682 if you have any questions.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 7 - 9 PM -- The Other Barn, Oakland Mills Village Center, Columbia. FREE. The Columbia Association’s Teen Advisory and Middle School committees will sponsor “The Battle of the Dance,” an exciting and fun-filled youth dance competition open to dancers of all ages in Howard County. Students may enter the competiton as individuals, individuals, or teams and will be asked to bring their own music (CD, no explicit lyrics). Entrants will have five (5) minutes to perform; local dance professionals will judge; and prizes will be offered for best performance in each category.
