StarTalk is a government initiative to increase the number of Americans learning critical need languages. The StarTalk program pays tuition for high school students (rising 9 - 12th graders as well as newly graduated seniors) to learn Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi or Persian in HCC’s World Languages Program. Upon successful completion of the StarTalk program, students earn four (4) college credits and one (1) credit for high school graduation (with prior approval of the principal).
Summer 2011 StarTalk program dates at Howard Community College (HCC) are Monday-Thursday, June 20 - July 29, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM; if necessary, some Friday classes may be added.
