Re: Revised Non-Transported Boundaries for the 2011-12 School Year ________________________________________________________________________
With the installation of the traffic light in front of the school on Centennial Lane, the non-transported area for Centennial High School will be expanded. Students residing in the Centennial community across Centennial Lane from the school will be ineligible for transportation services beginning with the 2011-12 school year. The list of streets added to the Non-Transported Area is below.

Per Board of Education Policy 5200 that governs eligibility, please refer to the following excerpts:
a) Transportation services will be provided to students when the distance between their home and the home school is greater than 1.5 miles for grades 9 through 12.
b) The bona fide residence of the parent/guardian will be used to determine eligibility for transportation services. Distances will be calculated as follows:
I Detached homes and townhouses – Measurements will be from the residence property line to the property line of the school.
II Apartment complexes and condominiums – Measurement will be from the entrance to the building to the property line of the school.
