Parents, guardians and college-bound students are invited to a free viewing of  the award-winning documentary "HAZE," which tells the true story of  a college freshman who died during a hazing incident involving alcohol. Guest Speakers from Howard County General Hospital and the University of Maryland will shed light on the short- and long-term results of  binge drinking, drinking "games" and hazing, and will discuss hazing policies on college campuses. A community education event co-sponsored by HC DrugFree and the Howard High School PTSA.   PSAT Scores Workshop MONDAY, JANUARY 30, 7 PM -- Long Reach High School, Columbia. FREE PSAT test score intepretation. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22  OR  THURSDAY, MARCH 15, 7 - 8: 30 PM -- Room B37, HCPSS Applications & Research Lab, (ARL), Ellicott City. Two (2) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Academy orientation programs for current juniors will provide a detailed overview of the Fall 2012 Paramedic Pathways Programs: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic during Grade 12 and the EMT-Paramedic Program offered at Howard Community College upon successful State Certification testing at the EMT-B Level. Among the award categories is an OUTSTANDING YOUTH AWARD for individuals under the age of 18 years who have made a positive difference in the lives of Howard County youth. Details, nomination forms available on THIS Howard County Government webpage. NOMINATION DEADLINE: FRIDAY, MARCH 16.
