DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR SLIDE SHOW PHOTOS AND SENIOR ADS

The Eyrie yearbook team thanks all of you who have already submitted your baby and current pictures for the traditional senior slide show. We also thank all of you who have already reserved a senior ad or who have submitted ad materials.

We recognize that these are challenging economic times, and we would like to extend our deadlines to all seniors and their families for both the slide show photos and senior ads. Materials for both celebrations may now be submitted to us through Friday, February 20, 2009.

In addition, we encourage you to Design Now, Pay Later. You can reserve the ad and turn in all of your materials by February 20, but defer payment until Friday, April 17, 2009! Ad prices (all color) are as follows: quarter-page, $150; half-page, $250; full-page, $350.

More information about ads (including the ad forms) can be found at http://chseaglepubs.wordpress.com/ Thank you all for your support and taking the time to celebrate your child's senior year! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at chsrvw@gmail.com. Rus VanWestervelt, Yearbook Advisor

Attention SENIORS:

Please bring your Senior picture to Student Services for our celebration board. You will receive a special treat when you bring it in.

They are fun to talk to, and their excitement is contagious! You don’t need to be a Ph.D. to participate, volunteers are needed to simply look at the scientific method of the students’ projects.

Consider being a judge during one (or all) of the following judging sessions:

7:25 AM - 8:15 AM Judging session 1

9:20 AM - 10:10 AM Judging session 2

10:45 AM -12:20 PM Judging session 3

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. To sign-up, please contact Michelle Bagley from Centennial High School at 410.203.9810 or mbagley@hcpss.org. Come support the next generation of science leaders!

The Howard County Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission will present its 24th Annual Celebration of the life and legacy of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Howard Community College’s Smith Theatre. Together, we can do it!” The celebration will include: · Entertainment by several diverse cultural groups represented in Howard County · Presentation of awards to student winners of the essay and poster contest related to Dr. King and his legacy · Presentation of the “Commission Award” to a person who exemplifies the spirit of Dr. King’s message The Commission asks that attendees bring a canned food item to support Howard County’s Food Bank. There will also be an opportunity to sign-up for a future “King Day of Service” to benefit the community and those in need. There will be CHS string quartet playing during the reception and CHS student volunteers help out at this event.
