EVERY YEAR, hundreds of thousands of students participate in the PTA® Reflections Program through their local PTAs and PTSAs; these student winners go on to compete at the district/regional and state levels, with the "best of the best" artistic entries going to National PTA to be considered for one of the National Reflections awards, i.e. Outstanding Interpretation Awards, Awards of Excellence, Awards of Merit and Honorable Mention.
THIS YEAR'S CONTEST THEME: "Diversity is . . ."
A program designed to enhance rather than replace a quality arts education, the PTA® Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves artistically and to receive positive recognition for their efforts. The CHS PTSA encourages students to consider creating and submitting original works to the 2011-12 Reflections Contest in any of six (6) creative categories:
Dance Choreography Musical Composition
Film Production Photography
Literature Visual Arts (includes art forms such as
drawing, painting, print-making and collage)
